Can I open a........The question of what licence you require when setting up a new business on the Costa del Sol is one we often get asked at Apartsol Commercial. If you are purchasing a business that is already operational our Gestoria will check with the townhall that the correct licence is in place for all the activities that you wish to conduct. Extra activities can be added to your licence - if you are a newsagent for example and want to expand into photocopying or install a public telephone this can be relatively straightforward. If there is not a licence in place it is more complicated. The Gestoria can make a request to the townhall for one and get a good indication early on as to whether it will be successful. Some licences are harder to acquire than others - in Benalmadena for example new music or bar licences are almost unheard of - so if this is the type of bar you want to buy then you need to buy the bar with the licence already in place.
